Early Years Lead Educator – Maternity Cover (Part- Time)
Springlawn Childcare Community Group ltd has an opening in our fantastic team for an Early Years Lead Educator (Maternity Cover). Springlawn Childcare currently run 2 morning ECCE sessions for children from 2.8 yrs to 5 yrs. We envisage cover will commence from August 2024 to February 2025.
Education & Qualifications:
Minimum FETAC Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential
Children First
First Aid
Skills and Experience:
2-3 year's previous experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta frameworks
Experience of working with children with additional needs would be desirable or good working knowledge of the Access and Inclusion model.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Possess a genuine commitment and passion for working with young children
The ability to be flexible
Brief Job Description
Supervise a small team and ensure daily tasks and checklists are completed.
Commit to Springlawn Childcare’s Vision, Purpose and Values and ensure that they are adhered to at all times.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with all children, their families and colleagues that are based on respect, equality, diversity and confidentiality.
Plan and implement activities to help children learn and develop that are both fun and inclusive and suitable to the children's individual interests and abilities.
Provide regular observations as per Aistear guidelines.
Have an awareness and knowledge of childcare concerns/issues that may have an impact on quality of care for the children and report these concerns/issues appropriately.
Ensure all Health and safety requirements are compliant as per policy.
Be willing to attend training as required due to the nature of the industry.
Other information: Uniform provided, parking, kitchen with snacks and refreshments available and regular social events.
Part-Time hours: 20 per week
Monday to Friday term time only.
Successful candidate will be appointed subject to Garda Vetting
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
