St. Paul's National School is a vertical, co-educational school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Meath, Dr. Tom Deenihan. The school seeks to appoint an Administrative Principal beginning on the 28th of August 2024.
The present teaching staff comprises of 1 administrative principal, 1 administrative deputy principal, 26 Class Teachers (24 mainstream and 2 ASD), 9 SEN teachers, and 19 SNAs.
This school is a child-centred, happy and safe environment where all the children are encouraged to learn, and grow, to the best of their individual strengths and abilities. In addition to high academic expectations, pupils are provided with opportunities to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The successful candidate must have excellent people management and communication skills and an ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider community in order to lead and maintain a happy, active, and progressive school community.
Applicants must be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland and show evidence of, and commitment to, ongoing professional development. They must be fully Garda vetted, have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a recognised primary school in Ireland and hold a certificate for the teaching of Religion.
The roles and responsibilities of the post of Principal Teacher are determined by the four domains of Leadership and Management as set out in chapter 4 of Circular 0044/2019.

4. Developing Leadership Capacity
In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate:
An understanding of, and a commitment to, the school's Catholic ethos and an ability to support, and promote, school/parish links.
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a range of teaching experience.
Understanding and knowledge of Special Educational Needs, ASD, inclusion and diversity in education.
