St. Davaddog's N.S. is a Catholic ,rural DEIS school under the patronage of the Diocese of Raphoe. The present teaching staff comprises of 1 teaching principal, 1 class teacher and 1 SET shared and based in the school.
The roles and responsibilities of the post of Principal teacher are determined by the four domains of Leadership and Management as set out in Circular 0044/2019.

4.Developing Leadership Capacity
In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
An understanding and a commitment to the school's Catholic ethos and an ability to support and promote the school/parish links.
An in- depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a range of teaching experience.
Understanding and knowledge of Special Education Needs,inclusion and diversity in education.
Eecellent people management and communication skills and an ability to foster positive relationships with pupils,parents and the wider community.
Proven leadership skills and a commitment to school self evaluation.
A commitment to and evidence of relevant continuing professional; development.
the appointment is subject to the confirmation of qualifications,garda vetting requirements,occupational health screening and satisfactory references.

Applicants must be registered with the Teaching council of Ireland, be fully garda vetted and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a registered primary school in Ireland.
